A staff of many professionals assists the Board. The staff works directly with the Board and project resource groups, conducts research, participates in roundtable meetings, analyzes oral and written comments received from the public, and prepares recommendations and drafts of documents for consideration by the Board.
The VASB accomplishes its mission through a comprehensive and independent process that encourages broad participation, objectively considers all stakeholder views, and is subject to oversight by the Financial Accounting Foundation’s Board of Trustees
